Sweet 16 Birthday Party at the Plantation Preserve Golf Club

Cheryl and Art Monteverde were the proud hosts of their daughter Samantha's Sweet 16 bash on 9/21/2013 at the Plantation Preserve Golf and Club in Plantation, FL.  As the approximate 65 guests arrived they were directed to the main ballroom for Samantha's grand entrance.  Samantha, along with her grandmother Uma, her parents Cheryl and Art and her brother Arthur and his wife were all introduced on to the dance floor to Don't Stop The Party by Pitbull.  The guests were on their feet and cheering for Samantha as she danced with her dad to My Girl by The Temptations.  Half way through the song Cheryl joined in and just like that a cool family moment was captured.  As everyone sat down and prepared for a buffet style dinner, Samantha walked around thanking everyone personally for attending her big day.  After dinner they all danced for a while before the candle lighting ceremony.  Samantha had a few family members and friends light her candles before we all sang Happy Birthday.  Samantha provided me with a great play list that I used all night.  I played club music, top 40, alternative, hip-hop, reggae, r&b and country.  All of the line dances were performed including the Wobble, Cha Cha Slide and the new dance to Blurred Lines.  These kids were phenomenal dancers.  The last song for the evening was a special request by Cheryl dedicated to her disco loving friends.  The song was Last Dance by Donna Summer and it was danced by all of the guests that were left.  Congrats to Samantha, Cheryl, Art, Uma and the entire Markowitz and Monteverde families.  Great Sweet 16 for a great teen with awesome friends!!
