Wedding and Reception Aboard the Catalina Yacht

Posted: Apr 08, 2011

On Monday, Yes I said Monday (gotta love those destination weddings on a week day), April 4th, 2011, I had the pleasure of playing for Holly and Brent Matsko and a group of serious party goers from Michigan. There were 82 family members and friends that made their way to South Florida for a party on the intracoastal. The evening started with a ceremony performed by "Captain Pat". The music was traditional, and once they said their "I Do's", it was fiesta time! Tropical music and country classics filled the air during the cocktail reception and I introduced the newlyweds to "Get Back" by the Beatles. Holly and Brent chose "Marry Me" by Train for their first dance, and I loved Her First was the Father/Daughter dance, then "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts fior the Mother/Son dance. I played a mixed of Top 40 club hits with some special requests by Billy Ocean, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Bob Marley, Kid Rock and the Cupid Shuffle and the Electric Slide. Since it was a beautiful night everyone was on the top deck dancing under the stars. Later, Holly & Brent cut their wedding cake to "Sweetest Thing" by U2. Carol and her crew were as always a pleasure to work with and I know this group had a wonderful time! Enjoy your Caribbean cruise Holly & Brent and the best of luck to both of you......
