Wedding and Reception Aboard the Catalina Yacht

Ladies and gentlemen its DJ Cristian here with another installment of the wedding blog! Today's adventure takes us aboard the beautiful Catalina  Yacht for Alyssa and Kevin's wedding! It is a beautiful day here in sunny Ft. Lauderdale as the Catalina prepares to set sail. As the evening begins I start the night off playing a mixture of 80's, new pop and some soothing classics. The guests are looking pumped and ready to have a blast! Everyone makes their way up to the top deck for the ceremony. As the ceremony begins the bridal party enters and takes their places to Don't You Forget About Me by the Vitamin String Quartet. Alyssa chose to walk down the aisle accompanied by her mother to At Last by the Vitamin String Quartet. After Alyssa and Kevin say "I do" they exit to Crazy In love by the Vitamin String Quartet and proceed to take photos as the guests enjoy  cocktail hour. The time has come to line up the bridal party and begin the celebration! The bridal party came out to I Believe in a Thing Called love by the Darkness and Alyssa and Kevin chose Welcome to the Party by Diplo for their entrance. This bridal party consisted of over twenty people so it was no small task. There is also a bit of a twist towards the end of the introductions pertaining to the best man and maid of honor. The flower girl Elaina has requested to introduce them. The reason for this is because its a gag! The best man and maid of honor swapped clothes and were introduced to the entire boat dressed in each others clothes. It was hilarious! Now, on to the dances. Alyssa and Kevin danced their first dance to A-Ha's unplugged version of Take On Me. Did I mention that this group absolutely loves 80's pop? For the mother/son dance Alyssa and Kevin both danced with their mothers to Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper. The toasts were given by the best man and the maid of honor and as soon as they were done the meal was served. I played more 80's and soft classic's during dinner until it was time to cut the cake. The cake was cut to Sweetest Thing by U2 and after that we went into the bouquet toss and garter removal. The bouquet was caught to Where Them Girls At by Flo Rida and the garter was removed to Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins and then thrown and caught to Another One Bites the Dust by Queen. When the two lucky contestants (that caught the bouquet and garter) were ready I got them together for the garter application. It was all a lot of fun! The whole party was having a great time. Now the time finally came to get the party started so I played as requested more 80's, Pop and a bunch of requests. The party was a lot of fun and I love 80's Pop so this was definitely my kind of party! Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and this was no exception. However, this party ends but Alyssa and Kevin's life long party is just beginning! It was my pleasure to play for them on this special day and I wish them the very best.
