Saturday eve aboard the Catalina Yacht left out of Ft. Lauderdale is where family and friends from Florida to the Carolinas came to celebrate the wedding day of Barrett and Carrie Hennessy.
Guests boarded to the sounds of DJ Marc Evans playing some Island music as requested then into music for the guests to find there seats and to prepare for the ceremony on the top deck of the Catalina. Once we departed the dock and began the ceremony, I played for the bridal party processional Lucky by Jason Mraz, followed by Carrie and her father to the instrumental of All Of Me . When Captain Rob pronounced them as husband and wife, I played for Carrie and Barrett, I feel Good by James Brown.
As cocktail hour was going on I played many songs requested. The crowd was young and ready to party so I even put on some Hip Hop and Funky Old School music to get them ready for a some partying…
Once cocktails were over, guests came down the stairs into the main dining room that was lit with Amber up lights and a Photo booth for the guests to take pics and sign with a picture into the photo album provided to the bride and groom at the end of the evening.
I lined up the bridal party and introduced them to Uptown Funk by Bruno, and then Carrie and Barrett to Macklemore, Can't Hold Us Down, I had the guests clapping and cheering at the top of there lungs, as they walked down the main staircase and then proceeded to the center of the dance floor for the first dance to I'm Yours by Andy Grammar. Carrie then danced with her dad to I loved her First and Barrett and his mom to A Mother's Song By Carter T. The toasts and dinner were served and then dinner music was some slow songs and upbeat songs as we got closer to the end of dinner.
Once dinner was over the cake was cut to Cake by The Ocean, and then the party began with Greek Music, Line Dances and music from all genres and then the photo booth was officially opened.
The party rocked til the very last song of the evening as I played Don't Stop Believing. Another happy couple that partied with DJ Marc Evans of Eddie B & Company and the great staff of The Catalina.
