Wedding and Reception at a Private Estate / Marathon Key
On Saturday evening, June 20th in Marathon, Florida at a residence overlooking the Gulf Coast of Florida is where a small group of family and friends joined Jeremy and Elissa Johnson, and celebrated a new beginning of two awesome people.
The ceremony was on the dock over looking the Gulf as the bridal party entered to Making Memories of Us by Keith Urban followed by Elissa walking with her dad to Mean to Me by Brett Eldridge. Once they were pronounced husband and wife, I played Feel So Good by Mase. The couple walked and gleamed down the aisle and no reason not to in such a beautiful setting.
During cocktail hour by the pool and overlooking the gulf of Florida, I played as requested Country, Reggae and Steel Drum music that fit the atmosphere of the party.
Once cocktail hour concluded I invited all the guests to gather around the dance floor as I introduced the bridal party and parents to Bring Em Out by TI and then Jeremy and Elissa to Great Balls Of Fire....They then proceed to dance the first dance to Just By Being You by Steel Magnolia. The father daughter dance followed t My Wis and then the groom and his mom to Don't Blink by Kenny Chesney. Dinner was served and the toast were made and then dinner music to include Country and a few upbeat Jazz was requested by the Elissa and Jeremy.
Dinner had concluded and the party began with a dedication song for the bride and groom from the mothers and then the event got going with music from Pitbull, Taylor Swift, Hip Ho and line dances to includeThe Cupid Shuffle and The Wobble.
Requests for music were made and I played them as they were excellent requests and with a small crowd, most everyone danced all night as the party proceeded into overtime.
Cake cutting ceremony was to Jack Johnson's Better Together, as the groom took off the garter to Nice and Slow by Usher and the garter was tossed to Selena Gomez's, Come and Get it.... The party as mentioned went overtime as Elissa asked I play Footloose and Journey's, Don't Stop Believing as I then invited the guests to join the couple on the dock for a sparkler send off as the party came to an end. Both Elissa and Jeremy could not have been happier as the party was a huge success and created memories to last a lifetime....DJ Marc Evans
