Wedding and Reception at the Mayfair Hotel / Coconut Grove

Rosie and Matthew Novak celebrated their wedding at the Mayfair Hotel in Coconut Grove, Miami FL. on 11/15/2020.  This amazing wedding began with a ceremony in the atrium.  Approximately 45 guests witnessed a perfect ceremony then they were all invited to the cocktail hour on the 1st floor.  I played a mix of 90s hip-hop classics while they all mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers.  I took the time to decorate the ballroom with 20 amber, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company.  As all of the guests entered the ballroom the happy couple prepared for the grand entrance.  Rosie and Matthew chose Turn Down For What by DJ Snake then they went right into their first dance which was Perfect by Ed Sheeran and Beyonce.  There was no parents dances or toasts so everyone found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal.  Rosie did provide me with a play list that included top 40, hip-hop, r&b and Kompa/Haitian classics.

After dinner the dance floor opened up and the reception was in full swing.  All of the guests enjoyed the mix of genres and only paused for the garter/bouquet toss.  I also took requests for a few latin favorites and for some of the newer group dances. The closing song for the evening was All I Need by Method Man and Mary J. Blige.  Perfect ending to a PERFECT wedding.
