Wedding and Reception at The Newport Beach Resort

On Friday, October 21st, 2011 I had the pleasure of playing for Delanee and Alexander Padron and 110 friends and family members at the Newport Beach Resort on North Miami Beach. The afternoon started with a ceremony on the beach, and the weather was picture perfect! Reverend Arlene Goldman was the officiant, and I provided a wireless microphone system so the vows could be heard by everyone. The bridal party walked to "Over The Rainbow" by Israel K and Delanee walked to "Marry Me" by Train. Once they sealed their vows with a kiss, I played "For Once In My Life" a Stevie Wonder classic. For the cocktail hour, guests were invited inside where they enjoyed music from the "Rat Pack" era and a cigar roller while socializing and enjoying the moment. You could feel the excitement in the air as everybody was looking forward to the reception and dancing. I introduced the entire bridal party (over 20 people), to "Shut It Down" by Akon & Pitbull. The room was rocking when Delanee and Alex made their grand entrance! For their first dance, they chose "I Cross My Heart" by George Strait. Later during dinner Delanne danced with her brother Casey Brown to "Wind Beneath My Wings" and Alex danced with his mother to "Let Them Be Little" by Billy Dean. After dinner it was festive with music from Journey, Flo-Rida, Pitbull, Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga, The B.E.P.'s, Michael Jackson, Usher, Chris Brown, Train, I even mixed in some Salsa/Merengue for the Spanish guests and played a 30 minute disco set. Barry White, The Tramps, The Bee Gees, Vickie Sue Robinson, to name a few. The cake cutting was done to "I Wanna Grow Old With You" by Adam Sandler and then Alex remove the garter to "U Can't Touch This", for the bouquet toss it was "Move B**ch, chosen by Delanee. This was a fun group to play for and everyone danced from 8:30 til I said goodnight at 11 PM. The final song was "Living On A Prayer" by Bon Jovi and everyone rallied one more time around Delanee and Alex on the dance floor. I want give 2 thumbs up and five stars to Holly, Mike and their staff at the resort. Your hospitality and professionalism made it a pleasure being a part of this special night for Delanee and Alex. A Caribbean cruise is next up for the newlyweds aboard "The Allure Of The Seas".  Thanx again DJ/MC Eddie
