Wedding and Reception at the Pelican Grand Beach resort / Fort Lauderdale

DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the wedding blog.

On Saturday I had the pleasure of hosting the wedding ceremony and reception for Brian and Deb.

It was held at the beautiful Pelican Grand Resort on Ft. Lauderdale Beach!. The ceremony was on 12th floor terrace! It was a beautiful evening. Not too hot and just the right amount of breeze for a very cozy ceremony.

As the guests arrived I played some modern classical tunes. The guests were also in for a treat. One of the guests was a classically trained violinist and performed some prelude songs as well. Then the bridal party walked out. I played "Without You" by Keith Urban. Deb made her appearance shortly after that. As she walked out, the guests were listening to

 "Amazed " by Lonestar. The recessional song was " Happy Ending" by Sugarland.

After the ceremony, all of the guests enjoyed drinks and refreshments. I played some light country and vocal tunes specifically chosen by Brian and Deb.

The main dining room was almost prepared. It looked great! The Amber LED up lights provided by Eddie B. & Company really set the room off nicely.

As the guests walked in I played some cool beach music, again to set a mood of fun in the sun.

The grand entrance of the bridal party arrived. I was asked to play "Once in A Lifetime" By Keith Urban. We then showed a short slideshow and video. I then introduced Brian and Deb. The place exploded with applause! They continued to dance to the intro song. I then asked them to dance their first dance. "Fall into me" by Sugarland. It went over beautifully.

I was then excited to introduce Brian's Friend Jim and his band to do the traditional parent dances. "Dust in the wind" and "I Hope You Dance" were performed. It went over great!

The toast was said by Don, the Bride's brother. Then Brian spoke and welcomed everyone.

A blessing was said by Denise ,one of the bride and grooms close friends.

Dinner was then served. I played some light vocal and specific songs that they had requested.

After dinner I picked up the pace. We were able to play music from all genres and styles.

It was a lot of fun!!
