Wedding and Reception at The Riverside Hotel / Ft. Lauderdale

On Saturday November 24th, 2012 I Played for Lindsay and Jonathan Morris and 125 friends and family members at the Riverside Hotel on Los Olas Blvd. It was a beautiful evening for a ceremony outside next to the New River. The bridal party walked to "Air On G String" by Bach, and Lindsay walked to "Cannon In D". After they were pronounced husband and wife and the breaking of the glass, I played "The Scientist" by The Vitamin String Quartet. Then all of the guests were invited to the 8th floor roof top for the cocktail hour, where they enjoyed a view of Ft. Lauderdale and adult contemporary tunes from the 60's thru the 90's. From there everyone was seated in the ballroom which was high lighted in LED Amber up lights which was provided by Eddie B & Company. I introduced Lindsay and Jonathan to "I Gotta A Feeling" and the room was ROCKIN! Their first dance was "Crazy Love" by Van Morrison, and by request I invited all of the couples to the dance floor to be a part of this special moment. A few toasts and a blessing by Mr. Jeff Morris (F.O.G.), was followed by a sit down dinner with music from 60's to the present day. I also dedicated "Stand By Me" to Lindsay & her father Neil, and Jonathan and his mother Jan. Coming out of dinner I got the party started with a 7 minute "Hora Medley" of Jewish songs which packed the dance floor. From there on for two and a half hours it was party time, and this group was in a very festive mood. I played everything from the Beatles, Aretha Franklin, and The Jackson Five to Flo Rida, Pitbull, Rhianna, and LMFAO. This was a serious dance party! I also dedicated "Sweet Home Alabama" to Jonathan's father and for his mother I played "Georgia On My Mind". The cake was cut to "All You Need Is Love" and the final song was "Save The Last Dance For Me" by Michael Buble. It's off to Hawaii for their honeymoon for Lindsay and Jonathan. I also want to thank Mark, Debbie, and their entire staff for their hospitality at the Riverside Hotel. I want to say "Mazel Tov" to Lindsay & Jonathan and wish them all the best in the world!......DJ/MC Eddie B!
