Wedding and Reception at the Spanish River Library / Boca Raton

On Saturday January 28th, 2012 I played for Cori and Brian Knapp and 100 friends & family members at the Spanish River Library in Boca Raton. The evening started out with a ceremony on a weather perfect day overlooking a picturesque lake. The bridal party walked to the instrumental version of the "Book Of Love" by Peter Gabriel, then Cori walked to the "Wedding March" by Jonathan Cain. After they sealed their vows with a kiss I played "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz and the celebration began! For the cocktail reception it was a mix of top 40 tunes from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. Then I introduced the bridal party to "Feel So Close" by Calvin Harris, Cori and Brian chose "Then" by Brad Paisley for their first dance. For dinner I played everything from country to adult contemporary tunes and I kept it up tempo and fun. Cori dancde with her two brothers (who gave her away), Alan & Chris Thompson to "I Hope you Dance" and Brian dance with his mother Cindy to "Find Your Wings" by Mark Harris. I had a very festive and young audience to work with and it was a pleasure playing for this group. Everything from "Runaround Sue" by Dion, to Flo Rida and Pitbull with a mix of country tunes, and some classic rock, kept the dance floor rolling for two and a half hours non stop! Later Cori & Brian cut their cake to "Lucky" and it turned into a cake smashing event that looked like it was planned ahead of time. Brian removed the garter to "Ticks" and Cori tossed her bouquet to "Milkshake". One memorable moment came when I played "Shout" and all of the groomsmen took off their shirts and raised Cori over their heads while the guests cheered them on. The evening ended in a sparkler send off and the party continued elsewhere! I want to comment on the Spanish River Library in Boca Raton. If you are looking for a venue where you can bring in your own caterer, and want to be outside with a view of a lake, and very affordable then give them a call. Pam is the director of catering sells and she is wonderful to work with. Once again CONGRATS to Cori and Brian I enjoyed it as much as you did......DJ/MC Eddie B!
