Wedding & Receptioin at the Ritz Carlton / Coconut Grove
September 28th, wedding at the Ritz Carlton, Coconut Grove
Gary & Lillian exchanged their vows in the court yard of the Ritz Carlton, just behind the pool. The courtyard was decorated with rose petals along the aisle to the area where the officiant conducted the wedding ceremony. The Bridal party entered while “All of Me” John Legend played. Our beautiful bride Lillian escorted by her Mom entered to “Here Comes the Bride” Michael Prophet (Reggae Style). The recessional played while our newlywed exited to “Tu Amor Me Hace Bien” Marc Anthony.
We had some great music played during the cocktail hour while friends and family mingled. Selections included “Angel” by Shaggy; “Let Him Try” by Freddie McGregor; “Stay With You” Tarrus Riley”; “ No One” Alicia Keys; “Just the Way You Are” Bruno Mars.
Gary and Lillian selected “Danza Kudora” by Don Omar as the bride’s mother, and the groom’s parents entered the grand ballroom, which glowed with Amber LED up lights provided by Eddie b & Company. They were followed by two ring bearers and a beautiful flower girl. Not to be outdone our best man and maid of honor came in dancing; setting the tone for the rest of the evening. Gary and Lillian came in burning up the floor as they had their first dance to “Your Love” by Bushman. Several of the guests wanted to join in but this was Gary and Lillian’s special moment!
For the parents, Lillian danced with her Mom “Madre Mia” by Sergio Vergas while Gary and his Mom danced to “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved)” the Marvin Gaye version. After the parents danced it was time to party to “La Vida Es Un Carnival” Celia Cruz; “La Rebelion” Joe Arroyo’ some old school reggae “Bam Bam” Pliers; “Murder She Wrote” Chaka Demus & Pliers; “A Who Seh Me Dun” Cutty Ranks and so many more.
Instead of the bouquet toss we had all couples on the floor and we counted up the couple married the longest, which was 48 years. The woman received the bride’s bouquet.
The evening ended with “I Feel Good” Beres Hammond.
