Wedding Reception at the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club

Michelle and Brian Hayes celebrated their wedding cocktail hour and reception on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club on 4/28/2012.  The ceremony took place at a church near by and soon after all of the guests arrived to enjoy drinks and appetizers at the cocktail hour.  As the bridal party lined up for the grand entrance you could feel the excitement from the guests.  Michelle requested that the bridal party enter to I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas and that herself and Brian enter to Let's Get Loud by Jennifer Lopez.  Michelle and Brian had a surprise for their family and friends for the first dance.  They started off with Truly by Lionel Richie then Brian did a solo dance to Baby Got Back, then Michelle to Play Something Country, then back to Brian to U Can't Touch This, then back again to Michelle to Sexy and I Know It, then finally back to Truly for the finale.  Everyone was in shock since Brian does not like to show off his dancing skills.  The applause from the crowd was amazing!!! One of the best first dances I have ever been a part of.  Michelle and her dad and Brian and his mom danced to What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong as a combined parents dance.  The toasts were given by Sheryl (maid of honor) and David (best man) then a 2 course brunch proceeded.  At brunch everyone was still buzzin' about that crazy first dance.  Michelle and Brian really pulled it off!!  There was no song list provided so I played a mix of oldies, smooth jazz and classics during brunch and kicked it up a notch for dancing after everyone finished their meals.   The guests ranged from 30 to 70 years old so I have to really mix it up.  It worked out great as everyone got a chance to dance.  The highlight of the evening was when Brian and his fellow Delta Ta Delta frat boys sang a song for Michelle as she sat in a chair in the middle of the dance floor.  Michelle loved it.  After the anniversary dance and the cake cutting the dancing continued until the end.  The last songs were Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble and Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton.  This was a really fun afternoon wedding for a very special couple and their guests.  Congrats to Michelle and Brian Hayes and I hope you guys have a great time on your honeymoon cruise to the Virgin Islands.  Special thanks to the staff at the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club for another excellent job well done. DJ Ray
