Wedding and Reception at the Parkland Country Club

Good Day Bloggers!

DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the Wedding blog!

Today’s episode takes us to the beautiful Parkland Country Club.

As the guests arrived for the outdoor ceremony, I was asked to play some Neo-Classical tunes by the Vitamin String Quartet. The bridal party entered with the acoustical version of Sam Smith’s “Latch”. Mellissa walked down the aisle to “A Thousand Years” by The Piano Guys.

The ceremony was performed by Melissa’s Stepfather with honor.

After the ceremony ended I played “Let’s Get Married” by Jagged Edge.

Cocktail hour commenced shortly after that….Also held outside on the majestic grounds. I played some standards, Rat Pack tunes and the occasional Jazz song. All to set a nice smooth tone.

The main event was located in the Banquet room located just off the gardens. It looked beautiful! The room was flooded with Royal Blue LED up lighting provided by Eddie B & Company. The guests also enjoyed an Open Air photo booth provided by Eddie B & Company.

As the guests entered, I played some cool lounge music…setting a tone of fun and excitement!

The bridal party was ready to enter. I played ” All of The Lights” by Rihanna. Then Chris and Mellissa entered to “The Way You Move” by Outkast. The room erupted with applause!

I then went into the first dance. “Kiss of Life” by Sade, Followed by the Parent Dances…”I loved Her First”, “House on Pooh Corner” and “My Wish”. Shortly after that the dinner service started. I then asked Patrick and Danielle, the Maid Of Honor and Best Man to say a few words. That wet over very well.

I then mentioned that the PhotoBooth was open for business. Jerry O. was manning it and provided by Eddie B& Company.

During dinner, I kept it light. Playing songs from Sinatra, Buble, Sade and even some old school R&B. A very eclectic mix to keep them on their toes!

After dinner is when I really turned up the heat. This was a dancing crowd and they LOVED to party!

I played all different types of music..including, oldies, top 40, hip hop, 70’s 80’s 90’s….you get the picture.

The cake was cut using Michael Jackson’s “Love Never Felt So Good”. We then proceeded to do the garter and bouquet toss. It went over great!

The rest of the evening was excellent. A great time! Thanks to the staff of the Parkland Country Club for doing a professional job, as always!

Last Friday, December 16th, I was able to be the DJ for Advanced Media Technologies. .
The party was located at the Parkland Country Club. I LOVE THIS PLACE! The atmosphere is very fun and festive. Plus the food is great! The room was decorated beautifully and the LED Amber up lights were provided by Eddie B & Company.
As the guests arrived, I played the traditional Holiday fare. Rudolph, Frosty, Jingle Bells, etc.
Since this was a repeat event, I was ahead of the game in knowing what type of party to expect. And it was crazy as usual! These people love to party!
After dinner I was asked to get the party going. I started off with the Black Eyed Peas then lifted off from there!
Man, I was all over the map, 70’s 80’s 90’s Hip Hop, Dance, Latin Reggae. You name it, I played it.
They even liked a few of the line dances too.
All in all it was a great party and it is always nice to have customers who ask for you year after year.
See them again next year!

Wedding and Reception at the Parkland Country Club

Jennifer and JC Gutierrez celebrated their wedding at the Parkland C.C. in Parkland, FL on 9/3/2016. This amazing wedding began with an outdoor ceremony where approximately 175 close friends and family members witnessed the happy couple tie the knot.  After they made it official with a big kiss all of the guests were invited to the cocktail hour for drinks and appetizers.  During the cocktail hour I decorated the ballroom with 24 lt. Blue colored, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company.   As all of the guests made their way into the ballroom for the reception I lined up the 18 member bridal party for the intros.  All of the 8 couples in the bridal party entered to their own individual song picked by Jennifer then she and JC entered to Danza Kuduro by Don Omar.  The first dance was to All My Life by KC and Jo Jo then Jennifer danced with her dad to a mix of My Girl by The Temptations and YMCA by The Village People then JC danced with his mom to What A Wonderful World by L. Armstrong.  The toasts were given by the 2 maid of honors (Chris and Carol) and the 2 best men (Kris and Peter) then Pastor Ko gave the blessing before the meals.  Everyone found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal.  JC did provide me with a play list that included top 40, R&B, hip-hop, classic 90s dance hits and latin favorites.  I love when 2 families come together for a big wedding and have as much fun as this group did.  After the main course the dance floor filled quickly and it was a non-stop party!!  The highlight of the evening was performing the group dances like the Cupid Shuffle, The Wobble and the Grease Mega-Mix.  What an energetic crowd they were!!  We did have a cake cutting ceremony and the garter/bouquet toss as the night progressed.  As the evening came to an end I played Don’t Stop Believing by Journey as the closing song.  Congrats to Jennifer, JC and the entire Gutierrez and Lee families.  Special thanks to Debra and Tara at the Parkland C.C. for always providing 5 star service to the bride, groom and their families.
