Hi, My name is DJ Angel born in Manhattan, NY. I came to Miami in 1980. Both my parents are from Cuba and met in N.Y.C. I grew up listening to tropical Latin music, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and my father also loved Jazz, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin.
Here in Miami I grew up on Disco, Retro, Miami booty bass, house and freestyle music.
At the age of 14 I was introduced to the art of mixing through a cousin who was doing and practicing in his room. The music was loud and pumping!!! His father opened the door, his lights were going and he was mixing! It was amazing to me... I could hear the songs blend and it caught my interest right away. When I got home I pulled my parents old LPS and with my allowance I started building my collection. While in high school I began performing at house parties, Quinceaneras, and back yard weddings.
I developed a love for being part of something great. That special day that will forever resonate in their memories through their pictures but most importantly the music they danced to for the first time as husband and wife, or the father/ daughter dance who as the little girl always dreamed of, or simply the song that brought down the house and made the party a great event. It is my privilege and an honor to be a your disc jockey.
Being an open format DJ gives me the chance to rock any event and the knowledge to be the best at what i do. Going on 10 yrs with Eddie B. & Company with nothing but success!
The only way to explain it is "music is my life and I am the DJ" it's been 30 yrs and counting. The feeling is still the same I'm here to make your event an unforgettable one.
