40th Anniversary at Kona Kai Resort / Key Largo

This past weekend, I had the honor of DJing Thomas & Mona’s 40th anniversary at the beautiful Kona Kai Resort — and what a night it was.

From the start, the energy was everything you’d want in the Keys — good music, great food, strong drinks, and even better company. Thomas & Mona put together a playlist that covered multiple genres, and it kept everyone locked in while we took in an incredible sunset.

One of the most memorable parts of the night was a 30-minute story time, where friends and family shared moments from their 40 years together. There was a lot of laughter, some emotional stories, and a real sense of how much these two mean to the people around them.

Hearing those stories, it’s hard not to feel inspired. The way people spoke about Thomas — as a husband, a friend, and a man of character — is something to look up to. From what I heard, I think we all strive to be even half the man he is. And Mona, the heart behind it all, has built a legacy just as powerful — the kind that’s felt through the love, loyalty, and admiration everyone in that room had for her.

The rest of the night carried that same energy — great vibes, a packed dance floor, and a celebration that felt as genuine as it was fun. Huge thank you to Thomas & Mona for letting me be part of such a special milestone.
