50th Anniversary at Coral Ridge Yacht Club

Lisa and Denis Shelly celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Coral Ridge Yacht Club in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 8/14/2026.  Approximately 100 of Lisa and Denis' close friends and family members arrived to the yacht club and were directed to the veranda overlooking the intercostal water ways.  That is where the happy couple renewed their vows and sealed it with a big kiss.  The cocktail hour took place on the first floor and that is where our very own Steuy Blue delighted everyone with his smooth saxophone sounds.  I also took the time to decorate the ballroom with 20 LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company.  As all of the guests entered the ballroom, I lined up the original 1976 (7 member) bridal party and the 2026 (9 member) bridal party for the grand entrance.  Every group had their own intro song then Lisa and Denis entered to Uptown Funk by B. Mars.  Their first dance was to For The Love Of You by The Isley Brothers then everyone found their seats and prepared for a buffet style dinner.  During dinner, the toasts were given by Denis Jr. and Paula (siblings) then Lisa and Denis thanked everyone for attending their big day.  The dance floor opened up after dinner and its was a dance party until the end.  I played a mix of music that started in the 50s and then I worked my way up to fun top 40 tunes.  Lisa and Denis surprised everyone with an extensive, doughnut filled dessert station as the evening progressed and I did take a few requests for some line dances and couples songs. 

The closing songs for the evening were Last Dance by Donna Summer and My Way by Frank Sinatra...great ending songs!!

Congrats to Lisa, Denis and the entire Shelly family on an amazing 50th Anniversary.
