Happy 50th Anniversary to Al and Joyce Carrocio!!! This unforgettable couple was showered with much love at their event on 11/10/2012 which was hosted by their kids Debbie, Lisa, Joe and Albert. Also in attendance were 125 of their closest friends and family members who were very excited for the happy couple. I had the pleasure of announcing Al and Joyce's grand entrance into the main ballroom as everyone stood and cheered. Al and Joyce requested Through The Years by Kenny Rogers as the first dance and wanted everyone to join them on the dance floor. Towards the end of the song I had everyone make a circle around them and give them a huge group hug. Uncle Paul who was the best man at their wedding 50 years ago gave a beautiful and touching toast for Al and Joyce. Everyone was treated to 2 courses as they enjoyed some great oldies. I sat with Al, Joyce and Debbie about a week before the event and went over the play list. Their play list consisted of oldies, 50's, 60's 70's and new top 40 for the kids. I am going to save this play list for a future event, that's how good it was. We performed all of the group dances. The Chicken Dance, YMCA, The Cupid Shuffle, The Cha Cha Slide, the Wobble and of course Gangnam Style, etc. The highlight of the evening was watching Al and Joyce dance to one of their favorite oldies that brought back lots of memories. That was the first time I ever heard the song Honeycomb by Jimmy Rodgers. The last songs for the evening were Last Dance by Donna Summer and Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble. Al, Joyce and all of the kids thanked everyone for coming from far and wide and I got a standing ovation!!!! WOW!! That was a very nice gesture. Congrats to Al and Joyce and may you live to celebrate your 100th!!! DJ Ray
