50th Anniversary at the Plantation Preserve Golf Club

Saturday Night, October 27'th, 2012, Mike and Nancy Duckworth celebrated 50 years of wonderful married life. The party began outside on the deck overlooking the course at Palntation Preserve Golf Club. The sunset added a delightful atmosphere to the happy couple's cocktail hour where they enjoyed music from Dave Brubeck, Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass, as well as love songs and rockabilly favorites from the 50's and early 60's. Afterward, guest came into the main room and enjoyed a delicious meal of steak, chicken, and mahi mahi. Among all the delicious deserts, there was even some sugar free poundcake. Later, Mike and Nancy cut their wedding cake, and they had a special dance to the Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody." One of their best friends took the mic and dedicated one more slow song to the couple from the Five Satins: "To The Aisle." Then the crowd got rockin' to Bill Haley. the Beatles, Aretha Franklin, Sam & Dave, as well as Diana Ross & The Supremes. The party finished up with a Mike and Nancy as well as their guests enjoying a slow dance to "Goodnight Sweetheart by the Spaniels. Nancy came up and told me that their 50 years together were really happy because they enjoyed being together, Happy Anniversary Mike and Nancy! And many more! DJ/MC Bill Robbins
