On Saturday, January 29th, 2011. I played for Phyllis and Melvin Nass at Deer Creek Country Club. It was their 50th Anniversary and they celebrated in style with 80 friends and family members. It all started with a cocktail reception on the patio overlooking the waterfall, and the theme was 50's & 60's "Rock N Roll". Many of the guests dressed the era and the music I palyed brought back the memories. I introduced Phyllis and Mel to the dance floor to get the party started, and they danced to Tony Bennett's "Because Of You" (their wedding song), and everyone joined in. After 30 minutes of dancing everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet with quite a variety of tasty choices.Then a 25 minute slide presentation and some roasting & toasting followed. The surprise was when Elvis showed up and performed 24 of his hits in a 1 hour show. The guests really got into the party atmosphere and you could tell a good time was had by all!
