50th Birthday Party at the Coral Ridge Yacht Club
Hello Party People, Welcome to another exciting edition of that party rocked! Last Saturday night on October 20th, 2012 we took a journey back in time...picture the glory days of disco and retro. Studio 54 an icon of disco in New York, Septembers...one of South Floridas hottest night clubs. Combine them both at The Ft. Lauderdale Yacht Club...and you have a taste of Lauren's 50th Birthday! That's right...a non-stop mix of the best party classics, beautiful people, and an amazing time! The lights were flashing, the music was rocking. Lauren, her husband Micheal and about 65 of her closest freinds danced all night. When the guest first arrived we had a really fun cocktail hour. Once the cocktail hour was over the guests's were seated for a wonderful prime rib dinner. They had amazing sides and the flavor of the food was second to none. Shortly after dinner Lauren took center stage to welcome and thank her guest's for being at her party. We did a few shout outs during the course of the night. The shout outs were done with specific songs...each one having a special meaning. A song that meant something to Lauren and her respective friend tied to a time or event meaningful in there lives. All through out the dance set we played some of the best all time classics from Disco, Retro, Motown, Rock and some newer Dance hits. However...the 70's and 80's were the theme through out the event. Around 11:00 there was no sign of people ready to leave yet. The only option...keep playing! We ended staying an extra hour just to accomodate more dancing. When ever we do this as DJ's it really gives us a sense of accompolishment. We know we did our jobs and the people at the party had a great time. I want to thank Lauren and Micheal for allowing me to play at Lauren's land mark 50th Birthday! I also want to thank all the Solid Gold dancers for getting loose and just truly enjoying themselves.
