April and David Wermann Jr. celebrated their 5 year wedding anniversary and renewal of their vows on 11/22/1013 at the Hollywood Beach Marriott in Hollywood FL. The happy couple were married 5 years ago by a justice of the peace. Well 3 beautiful kids and 5 happy years later they decided to make it truly official with a wedding party. The ceremony took place indoors where approximately 45 of their closest friends and relatives witnessed them renew their vows. April and David's 3 beautiful children (Riley, Colin and Carter) served as flower girl and ring bearers. The cocktail hour took place in the foyer area just outside of the ballroom. I played a mix of Rat Pack oldies while everyone enjoyed drinks and appetizers. As the guests were invited into the ballroom for the grand entrance and reception, I lined up the 19 member bridal party for the intros. The ballroom was decorated with 24 Amber color, LED, wireless up-lights along with dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company. April requested The Rocky Theme for the bridal party entrance and Now That We Found Love by Heavy D for her and David's intro. The first dance was to Please Forgive Me by Bryan Adams then April danced with her dad to He Didn't Have To Be by Brad Paisley. As a surprise April asked me to play a minute of My Wish by Rascal Flatts so she can dance with her 2 sons Colin and Carter then David danced with his mom to A Song for Mamma (English/Spanish version) by Boyz II Men. The toasts were given by Andrea (maid of honor) and Alex (best man) then the first of 3 courses was served. April and David did provide me with a short play list and asked me to take care of the rest. For the anniversary dance I played A Thousand Years by Christian Perri and a special request by the happy couple for More Than Words by Xtreme. There was plenty of dancing at this wedding since David's moms side of the family are Cuban and from NY (just like me). It was a lot of fun mixing in all of the genres like salsa, merengue, disco, classic rock, 80's and 90's dance hits and country. The cake cutting and garter/bouquet toss was also performed during the evening along with a few group dances. The last songs for the evening were Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble and New York, New York by Frank Sinatra (of course, my favorite). Congrats to April, David and the entire Wermann and Ludwig families. Rumor had it that there will be a 10 year renewal of vows for April and David (I'm ready)!!!!
