60th Birthday Party Aboard the Catalina Yacht

Penny's 60th birthday celebration was held aboard the Catalina Yacht in Fort Lauderdale, FL on Sunday, November 24th. Guests began to board shortly after 4:45pm as some background pop music played throughout the ship. Anticipating the arrival of the birthday girl, guests were invited to make song requests while I played some 80s dance party hits by artists like Stylistics and Madonna. Penny walked around saying hello to her family and friends and thanking everyone for joining her in celebration of the big 60. During dinner, the microphone was passed around for each person to say something about Penny, which was very touching. After speeches, we sang Happy Birthday to kick off the party then I invited everyone to the dance floor to watch our Guest of Honor cut her cake while I played How Sweet It Is by James Taylor. I played a nice mix of 70s to 80s dance hits and even took some requests for all the guests to enjoy. Thank you Penny for such a fun party. You guys were a great crowd - DJ ELOW
