Hello blog readers....DJ Gregg at it again. This issue allows us to visit the birthday celebration of Judy (a.k.a. MIMI). On Satiurday March 31st, 2012. She had a great party.. Let me tell you about it. The venue was the newly remodeled Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne. I like this location a lot. It has a great view and beautiful ambiance. I was set up in the smaller room on the 1st floor. Since there was only 40 people at the party, it was a great size. Mimi had no idea that she was going to her birthday party! A surprise that was held from her for many months. The room was decorated very nice, but the best part was the big screen TV playing all of the 8mm movies that the kids put together. Talk about a Brady Bunch flashback!!! It was really neat to see all of the kids, now grown up doing silly things. Very nostalgic. The moment of truth has arrived and Mimi enters the room.. SURPRISE!!! She was really shocked. I played "Birthday" by the Beatles as she came in. Then I went to the other requests that were chosen. Mimi is a HUGE fan of the musical "Mamma Mia". So I sprinkled songs from the soundtrack throughout the cocktail hour. She really loved it. "A great touch", she said to me later on.After dinner, all of her children and their spouses got up and sang a karaoke song from the soundtrack. "Dancing Queen" was on tap. They all had fun doing it, since they changes some of the words to coincide with the evening. Very cute. Then I played the original version of the song, per the clients request. WOW! The dance floor got packed. I was stuck in the 60's and 70's all night. A nice change from the usual. All in all, it was a great evening. Everybody danced, including the twenty something grandkids! Habby Birthday Mimi! May you have many more, DJ Gregg
