On Sunday, October 24th, 2010 I played at a wedding for Gina & Paul Miller at the Addison Reserve in Boca Raton. Our newlyweds said their I do's outside in the picturesque courtyard between 2 historical banyan trees. The music for their ceremony and cocktail reception was played "live" by an acoustic guitarist. Then the party moved inside the restaurant where the atmosphere was nothing but festive! I introduced Gina & Paul to the classic song "Dueling Banjos" from the movie Deliverence. This brought the guests to their feet and welcomed the newlyweds to the dance floor for their First dance, a classic country tune by Travis Tritt " More Than You'll Ever Know". Gina and Paul are both fans of Country music, so throughout the night I mixed in a few standards such as "All Rowdy Friends, Family Tradition, Friends In Low Places, Boot Scootin' Boogie, I Love This Bar, Folsum Prison Blues, and My Best Friend. Classic Rock, Disco, Soul and Top 40 kept the dance floor busy throughout the evening. Photography was provided by Susan Knowles and Rose Kish from Dream Makers did all the florals. I want to say 2 thumbs up to the chef and staff at the Addison for their first class service, food and ambiance. Gina is the catering director at the Light House Point Yacht Club, so a lot of the friendly staff were guests that evening and I enjoyed playing for them. The evening ended with the timeless classic "Jambalaya" and Gina, Paul & guests kicked up their heels one more time. Thanks Mr. & Mrs. Miller for making me a part of your special day....Eddie B!
