It was a pleasure working with the folks responsible for Parkland Soccer Buddy Sports Saturday afternoon. The only request form the organizer from Jab Niewood was to have 4 songs ready and after playing them I could understand why. This was a celebration of showing people that everyone and I mean everyone can enjoy them selves even with a disability.
This was a very rewarding and fuilled afternoon. Never in my DJ carrier did I experience such appreciation and love like I did on Saturday Novemner 12, 2011. All the atleates lined up in the parking lot of John Quigley Park and paraied in for their parents, family members and friends to the extended version of the "Olympic Theme". The children were cheering and having a great time as the entered. The national anthem was song by one of the children that paraded in. Jeb next said to the crowd what do we do at our soccer games, we have"fun" immediately went into "Fun Fun Fun" by The Beach Boys. The afternoon was filled with music from the 60's to today's hits. The best moment was when on of the players cam to me asked if I could play "Cotton Eyed Joe" and "Jungle Boogie" for him. When I told him I will play it for him, he was all smiles and laughing, you see he was in a wheal chair but this did not stop him from having "Fun"What a great afternoon.
Did mention, that these are all special needs children!
What an honor to put smiles on their children's face.
