Good Day Bloggers.
On Sunday, I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Rosemary as she celebrated her birthday. It was a surprise and she was very excited when she arrived. During cocktail hour I played a lot of standards as well as oldies. the crowd was mixed and a lot of the guests were in their 50's plus. The children and grandchildren were there too and were very happy to see Grandma! When Rosemary entered, I played "Happy Birthday" and then "Birthday" by the Beatles. It was very appropriate. Since the party was on May 5th, a "CINCO DE MAYO" theme was chosen. A lot of Mexican hats, decorations and of course, Pinatas.
I was able to play a lot of the requested tunes, like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennet, as well as some classic rock and new dance songs like "Uptown Funk".
It was a wonderful event!
