Hello Wedding Blog Readers!DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment. The blog brings me to the commitment ceremony and reception of Tim and Tracey. This was a full on destination wedding! ALL of the guests came from out of town. Most from New Jersey, but there were others as well. Tim and Tracey are a very cool couple. The story goes like this....They were friends in high school. After school, they went their own ways. Then 20 years later, they meet again at their High School reunion! How cool is that! Now to the show. The ceremony was held on the water. A very nice commitment service. after that, I opened the area with some light beach music. You know, Jimmy Buffett, Reggae, etc. The setting was at the hotel pool. (By the way, The Crown Plaza in Hollywood is a very nice venue). After cocktail hour, I invited all of the guests to find their seats, then I introduced the happy couple. Now here is the cool part...Tim's brother Joe is a very good guitar player and he played the first dance for the couple. "Marry Me" by Train. It was very moving. After that I was instructed to get the party moving right away. So I played "I gotta Feeling" by the Blackeyed Peas. This went over great! The floor was packed, and from then on it was "Party On"! I rocked these people! ......I was all over the map in the way of music... Everything from new music, to country, to standards, to disco... You name it, I played it! And they danced to it! All in all a very nice event and a great time by all!-- Gregg P.
