Last night we had the pleasure of providing entertainment for a relaxed sunset cruise aboard the Caprice Yacht from 6:15 to 8:30 PM, representing Eddie B & Company. It was one of those evenings where everything felt effortless — calm water, great people, and just the right energy as the sun went down.
The vibe was intentionally laid back to start. As guests boarded and mingled, I played chill house for about an hour and fifteen minutes, creating a smooth backdrop for conversation, networking, and enjoying the view. A pasta station kept things casual and inviting, and the overall atmosphere felt social, comfortable, and unforced.
As the cruise continued and everyone had settled in, we gradually shifted gears. The music moved from chill house into dance, and before long the energy lifted across the yacht. With around 125 guests on board, the dance floor filled naturally — no rush, no pressure, just good music pulling people in.
To elevate the space, we added 12 uplights throughout the yacht, which made a huge difference once the sun set. The lighting brought depth to the environment, tying everything together and giving the entire cruise a polished, ambient feel without overpowering the natural setting.
It was a great reminder that not every event needs to be high-octane from start to finish. Sometimes the best experiences come from pacing things right, letting the night unfold naturally and giving people space to connect before the party begins.
Sunset cruises like this are a perfect example of how thoughtful music selection, subtle production and good timing can turn a simple yacht outing into something memorable. It was a pleasure being part of such a smooth, well-balanced evening on the water. DJ AJ
