Corporate Holiday Party Aboard the Catalina Yacht

Ahoy, party people! As DJ Jerry, I recently had the absolute blast of hosting and DJing a karaoke extravaganza for the amazing team at SOLIFI aboard the luxurious Catalina yacht on the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The setting was pure magic—cruising along the water with stunning views that made the evening feel like a floating paradise.

As guests arrived, I kept the music low-key and inviting, allowing everyone to chat, mingle, and enjoy greetings during cocktail hour. Hors d'oeuvres were passed around, and the vibe was all about connection. My playlist featured a smooth mix of jazz, soft rock, and bossa nova to set a relaxed, sophisticated tone without overpowering the conversations.

As the evening progressed, it was time to amp things up! I made an announcement about the music books on the cocktail tables, complete with QR codes for easy song requests. To kick off the karaoke fun, we had a fantastic icebreaker: Caroline took the mic and belted out "What a Feeling" by Irene Cara, getting the crowd pumped and ready to join in.

Next, I invited everyone down for dinner, where a few heartfelt speeches set the stage before guests dug into their delicious meal. Once plates were cleared, we headed back up to the deck overlooking the shimmering Intracoastal. That's when the real party exploded—singers galore took the stage! The energy was infectious, and the night flew by in a whirlwind of laughter, cheers, and spot-on performances.
