Corporate Party At Morton's Steakhouse / Aventura

World Wide Express held their annual award banquet on 1/22/2013 at Morton's Steak House in Aventura, FL.  Approximately 70 co-workers were shuttled in on two buses from The Diplomat Hotel in Hallandale Beach for the big event.  The first hour was spent enjoying drinks and appetizers while mingling and catching up with fellow co-workers.  Most of them only get to see each other once a year and they had all arrived that day from all around the U.S.  The doors opened up to the main dining room and they all proceeded to any table (no reserved seating).  The first of a three meal course was served as they all enjoyed a mix of smooth jazz, easy listening and some Rat Pack oldies.  Jim Bennett and Sean Dilday were the masters of ceremony and they present over $116,000.00 worth of cash and checks to the award winners.  It sounded like a stadium every time a winner was called up.  There were so many other awards and trophies that I was asked to stay an extra hour.  There was no dance floor but some of the guests were dancing on the chairs and tables by the end of the night.  What a fun and rowdy crowd on a Tuesday night.  After the award banquet they were all heading to South Beach for more fun.  Enjoy S.Florida guys and see you again next year!!!!
