Friday night at the Aberdeen Country Club with 110 members is where DJ Marc Evans rocked the 55 and older community. As the guests entered the dining room, I played backround music such as Jobim and some Dinner swing such as Frankie, Dean, Sammy and the Coles as they ate dinner and talked to one another about there return to South Florida.
Following the dinner, the party began as I danced the crowd to all eras of music. We started out with some Fox Trots, into some Sambas and then into Merengue and Salsas. The songs that always worked were slow songs that all the couples in the room got up to dance to. Engelbert, The Coles, Frank Sinatra, Etta James, Harry Connick Jr. and of course Celine Dion.
And then, I played Blurred lines and the crowd when crazy. The floor was packed more for the Top 40 music then it was for the older music artists. I played Bruno Mars, Daft Punk, Pitbull and many more up to date music and the party was even better then it already was.
This is the type of party where it separates the professionals from the fly by night DJ's. DJ Marc Evans rocked the Aberden C.C a 55 and older community. Happy halloween!!!
