Dancing With the Stars at Temple B'Nai Torah

The B'Nai Torah Congregation held a gala event on 2/23/2013 for their members at the B'Nai Torah Temple in Boca Raton FL.  The event featured a dance competition called "Dancing With Our Stars".  This competition consisted of 5 random members of the congregation who chose a professional dance instructor to dance 1 song and try to win the competition based on total votes by the guests.  There were approximately 275 guests that attended that night so it was a big deal and a lot of pressure for the contestants.  The event began with a Megillah reading from 7:30 - 8:30 then a cocktail half hour with drinks and Hors D'oeuvres.  The deluxe food stations were open to everyone from 9 - 10 then the competition was to begin at 10pm sharp.  There were 3 special guests on the panel to comment about all of the dances and of course the guests were responsible for the deciding vote.  The competitors finished their dances by 10:45 then the votes had to get tallied.  At 11pm the Award Presentation and sit down dessert took place.  The rest of the evening was spent dancing the night away.  I played a mix of oldies, disco and classic rock.  Thanks to Bonnie and Manny Licker for using Eddie B & Co for all of their functions!!!
