On Friday, October 1st, we provided music at the Tower Club, downtown Fort Lauderdale. The theme was 70's music and I must say the guests were dressed to impress. Bell bottoms, tie dyed shirts, mini skirts, peace signs, silk shirts & of course hair styles that were popular during that era. Disco was their choice of music, and for 3 hours we went back in time with non-stop pulsating rhythm's from Earth Wind & Fire, Barry White, The Tramps, Gloria Gaynor, Sister Sledge, The Bee Gees, Abba, Sylvester, Vickie Sue Robinson, Donna Summer & many more. 70 guests enjoyed a variety of delicious goodies prepared by chef Randy Jacobs of the Tower Club and a variety of prizes were awarded to those who participated in the silent auction. They even provided hula hoops & the classic "Twister" game for the children that were in attendance. Thumbs up to the entire staff for making this night a fun & memorable experience for all. Being up on the 27th floor also offered breath taking views, north, south, east and west. When they say "The only thing we overlook is the city", this is no under statement! 5 Stars to the Tower Club! The charities that benefited from the evnt are the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Augies Quest, an initiative within the MDA to fight ALS, United Way of Broward County, and Club Corp's Employee Partners Care Foundation. Thanks again Eddie B!
