On Saturday May 18th I was playing at the beautiful Bahia Mar in Fort Lauderdale for the Coral Glades High School Prom. There were over 450 students in attendance to enjoy one final party as high school seniors before going off to college. The students were bussed in from Coral Glades for the special event, complete with a huge 32’ x 32’ LED dance floor provided by Eddie B & Company. I Invited them into the main room around 7:30pm for a buffet style dinner while I played some current R&B as background music while the students enjoyed their meal. The students were invited to the LED dance floor to celebrate shortly after dinner and it was a party all night to a mix of Hip Hop, Latin, Pop Hits, and Caribbean favorites. I had some dance floor lights illuminating the whole room to create a club-like atmosphere. Shortly after a few dance songs, I invited everyone to the hallway to vote for Prom King and Queen before we partied the rest of the night. Congratulations to the elected Prom King and Queen! You guys worked hard for it and it was well deserved. Thank you to Ms. Lewis and all the graduates for being such a great crowd. It was a really fun event and I hope to do their Prom dance next year. Best of luck to you all. - DJ ELOW.
