Nova High, Class of 1973, celebrated their 40th re-union at the Westin Hotel in
Ft Lauderdale. There were over 50 classmates present and the evening was spent
listening and dancing to predominetly the hits from the 70s. During dinner I
played a collage of songs that charted from 1970 through 73. Toward the end of
dinner we passed the cordless mic from table to table so everyone had a short
introduction and updated their classmates about themselves. It was a nice touch
and gave a personal feeling to the evening. After dinner people danced and
mingled to the music which I carefully kept at a moderate volume. Lori Berman
helped me co-ordinate the evenings activites and announcements . Thank you Lori.
The evening ended with the playing of paul McCartney's Live and Let Die. It was
a great ending song but encores caused me to fit in a few parts of some other
hits from 1973! Everyone seemed to have a great time! Special thanks to Sam, the
Westin's event manager and his banquet staff for their friendly professionalism. DJ/MC John Terry
