Holiday Party Aboard the Catalina Yacht

I had the great joy of DJing the Christmas Party for RPM Diesel Engine Company on Friday, December 17, 2021 on board the Catalina Yacht. I set up on the top deck in the open air. The Catalina has a large top deck making for a perfect outdoor dance experience. This group was ready to dance right away and I played some upbeat songs during cocktail hour like the Te Bote Remix by Nicky Jam, Bad Bunny and Ozuna, Shivers by Ed Sheeran and Cold Heart by Dua Lipa and Elton John. Of course some Christmas music was mixed in like Rocking Around the Christmas Tree and All I Want for Christmas is You. We paid tribute to the company's beloved former boss Joe Rubano who passed away this year with Sinatra's "My Way" and Sister Sledge "We Are Family". After dinner the guests had their photos taken and then came up for more dancing. They loved to get down to "Strub that Ground" a new song that you might think came out in the early 90s. I played a variety from Def Leppard to Usher, Pitbull to the now classic staple Pepas by Farruko. The party was a blast and went straight up until we docked at the Hotel. Another year behind us and here's to 2022!
