Holiday Party for the Patio Shop / Coral Springs

Now I know why I love South Florida. A Holiday Party under the stars on the patio of the owners of The Patio Shop; just think if we were up north we would be inside. What a wonderful Saturday evening under the stars for the Holiday Party for the folks at the Patio Shop. This evening was special because our host wanted Christmas music for the first part of the evening. We played some traditional Christmas like "The Little Drummer Boy" and much more. The evening went on with other favorites such as evening "Feliz Navidad"; "Let It Snow!" the Kenny G version; "Jingle Bell Rock" and some new holiday music like " Ay, Ay, Ay It's Christmas" by Rickey Martin; "Wizards In Winter (Instrumental)" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra; "Sleigh Ride" Kenny G and a sprinkle of a Jazzy version of  "Rock Your Body"; "Viva La Vida (Instrumental) by Cold Play; "Smooth Criminal (Instrumental)".
Not much dancing but we listened to  Usher "DJ got Us Falling In Love Again"; Taio Cruz "Dynamite"; "One Love" by Bob Marley; guest also enjoyed "Got To Be Real" by Cheryl Lynn. A tradition at the Patio Shop is musical chairs using "Holiday" by Madonna. We had 3 rounds where the willers received movie passes. We also played some old school music like "Whip It" by Devo; when was the last time you heard that or how about Digital Underground - "The Humpty Dance" or Tone Loc - "Funky cold Medina". The old school tunes had folks singing.


Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year. It's so hard to believe 2011 is almost over.
