On Jan.1st, 2011 I played at my first wedding of the new year for Robert & Susan Michael on the Catalina Yacht in the Ft. Lauderdale. As family & friends boarded to get ready for the ceremony going to the top deck I lined up the wedding party for the start of the wedding. The wedding party walked to Pacholbell "Canon in D" as the bride and her dad walked to Rascal Flatts "Bless The Broken Road" instrumental version. Susan's daughter Erica sang "The Lord's Prayer" during the ceremony. Having some fun, James Brown "I Feel Good" was the choice for the recessional. During cocktail hour I played a mix of country/pop/rock of the 70's 80's and songs from today, the same mix was programed for dinner. Robert & Susan wanted to be introduced to the Black Eyed Peas "I Got A Felling" and straight into the first dance...Clint & Lisa Black "When I Said I Do". After the toast Susan's daughter's Erica & Jessica sang and played acoustic guitar singing a song for the couple bringing a tear to most of the guests. As Carol and her crew of the yacht opened up the buffet after dinner it was ...PARTY TIME...top 40 dance/r&b,country,classic rock filled the dance floor up. Fun was had by all with the requests that I received. Thumbs up to Crystal (Photography by Crystal) capturing all of the special moments of this wedding. Michael Buble's "Save The Last Dance For Me" was the last song of the night, perfect to send off this happy couple to the honeymoon in the Caribbean.......Thanxs Roberto (D.J.Rob)
