New Years Party at Private Estate

Diane Jaar and her family had a new Year's Eve party for over 300 guests with many surprises. This was a quintessential South Florida party! The guests were diverse with many Jamaican, Latin and Haitian folks who, of course, wanted to hear Genres tailored to them. So, I simply played short sets of each Genre at intervals. There was a Live Merengue/ Salsa band that performed an hour set which ended at 11:45 PM. I then took over for the countdown and played recognizable high energy dance music as the clock struck 12. Fireworks exploded as my countdown reached zero. Afterwards people continued dancing till the wee hours. The party ended after 4 AM.  Suffice to say, the new year started with a bang! DJ/MC JT
