Private Event at Deer Creek Country Club

DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the BLOG!

On Saturday I had the pleasure to be the DJ for Linda as she celebrated her retirement at Deer Creek Country Club.

There were about 50 very close friends and family who were invited and they were happy to be there.

As the guests came in, I played some classic tunes and Rat Pack sounds to set a cool mood.

I was initially told by John, Linda's husband that it was a surprise, however she found out at the last minute... Bummer.

The cocktail hour was held on the veranda. The rain held off long enough to allow the drinks to flow. 

Afterwards, I invited all of the guests to the main room.

John got up and welcomed everyone. He also asked everyone to yell "SURPRISE"! A little bit of sarcasm never hurts...

Soon after the dinner stations were opened. I played some easy tunes to allow a nice meal to be eaten.

After dinner is when I picked up the heat. Most of the guests were in their 50's, so I was asked to play to that type of crowd. I played a lot of 60's, 70's 80's and even a few top 40 songs. 

It was a really great time and the dance floor was packed all night!
