This past Saturday I had the pleasure of hosting the Confirmation celebration for August. She was very happy that she had crossed over another milestone and she walks as a Catholic.
The event was held at the prestigious Parkland Country Club.
As the guests arrived, they were greeted by a room bathed in color and life! The atmosphere was set as a cool lounge, complete with lighted cocktail tables provided by Eddie B & Company.
We also provided the open air photo booth and of course...yours truly as DJ!
It was a casual beginning, as the guests walked in with jazz, standards and Broadway show tunes being played. August is a huge show tunes fan and "Hamilton" is her favorite. I was able to play a few tunes from that show and it was fun to watch her and her friends sing and dance to them..
Mom and Dad said a few words of encouragement to finish off the first hour and then the dinner buffet was opened.
After dinner, I played a variety of music across the generational divide!
Panic at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, as well as Madonna and Price were on the request list, so you can see it was a very diverse crowd.
It allowed for a great event and a lot of fun!
