Quince Celebration at the Harriet Himmel Theater / Palm Beach

On 9/15/2012 Saray and Juan Perez threw a blowout birthday bash for their daughter Shanon at the Harriet Himmel Theater in Palm Beach, FL.  Shanon's Quince was one of the funnest birthday parties I have ever DJ'ed. The Harriet Himmel Theater has 2 floors so the cocktail hour was held on the second story balcony area while the guests got to see a photo montage of Shanon and her family.  As the cocktail hour came to a close everyone was directed down to the 1st floor to find their seats for the grand entrance.  Shanon's court consisted of 18 friends and family members who were ready to party hard.  Shanon's court entered to So Close by Calvin Harris, her grand parents and god parents entered to We Are Family by Sister Sledge and Shanon and her parents entered to Cinema by Benni Bennazi.  All 100 guests were on their feet as Shanon entered on to the dance floor.  After her parents changed her shoes Shanon danced with her dad to Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle then with her friend Brandon to The Cinderella Waltz.  Half way through the waltz the rest of the court joined in for a choreographed dance.  Shanon requested a short dance set after the waltz to get everyone on the dance floor before dinner.  Shanon and her parents did not provide me with a song list but suggested that I play all of the hot songs...old/new, english/spanish and everything in between.  Shanon's family is of Cuban descent so it was not hard getting my people on the dance floor.  Shanon requested New York, New York by Frank Sinatra for the last song of the evening.  Most of the guests were from the NY/NJ areas so that worked out perfect.  I want to congratulate Saray and Juan for raising such a beautiful and respectful daughter and thanks to all of her friends for having so much fun and behaving themselves.  Another great Quince in the books!!!! DJ Ray
