On 7/20/2011 I had the privilege once again to play for a group Quinceanera aboard the Sun Dream Yacht.  This was the 4th year that this particular group from Paraguay celebrates a mass-Quinceanera for all of the girls turning 15 years old.  They usually have approximately 90 kids and 10 chaperons that pick 1 night of their week long trip for all of the girls and a few boys to get decked out and party on the Sun Dream.  It is a latin tradition to celebrate the 15th birthday for the girls.  This is a bit different because almost all of the girls are 15 and they come from Paraguay in a large group.  They basically dance for 4 hours and take a break only to eat dinner.  The highlight of the evening was that Paraguay and Uruguay were playing each other in a soccer match.  The game was going to be decided by penalty kicks.  One of the guests asked if I could connect his phone to my system so they can hear the match in progress.  It was unbelievable how much these kids were cheering and pulling for their national team Paraguay.  The match ended with a goal by Paraguay and they went crazy!!!!  I am looking forward to next year when a new batch of Quinceaneras come down to South Florida and celebrate their special day.
