Renewal of Vows Aboard the Sun Dream Yacht
Latoya and Joshua Strickland celebrated the 10 year renewal of their vows aboard the Sun Dream Yacht in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 5/18/2017. Approximately 70 guests arrived to the Galleria One/Double Tree Hotel and boarded the Sun Dream for a 4 hour cruise along the intercoastal water ways. Everyone was greeted with drinks and appetizers as I played a mix of tropical tunes for all to enjoy. After a quick entrance to the song Shining by Beyonce, the happy couple danced to You by Jessie Powell. Latoya then danced with her dad to I Loved Her First by Heartland and Joshua danced with his mom to Hey Mamma by Kanye West. The toasts were given by Carla (maid of honor) and Zachary (best man) then Sheila Telford gave the blessing of the meals before everyone was invited to the lower (3rd) deck for dinner. Latoya did provide me with a great play list that included top 40, hip-hop, r&b and dance hall classics. What a perfect mix of genres for this fun/up-beat group. I did take a few request for some of the newer group dances and we also had a cake cutting ceremony as the night progressed. As the yacht approached the dock I played Tonight by John Legend and everyone gathered on the dance floor for one last dance. Congrats to Latoya, Joshua and the entire Strickland and Sheriff families.
