The venue was disguised as an Anniversary Party, with a Happy Anniversary banner above the front door. But when you walked through the entrance it turned into the surprise 70th Birthday Party for Dan Dobin. The room was filled with Exotic décor of a Havana Nights theme. Unique life size portraits of Danny were hanging from the back wall as you entered. Bongo drums with glass tops were made into Bar Tables. The center pieces were vases dressed up like pineapples. Outside there was an old 50’s car with a giant cigar on both sides smoking and glowing as if lit. The band had a Calle 8 backdrop with a lit up Tropicana sign. The servers wore solid red aprons with 70 Danny Domingo embroidered on them in yellow. I provided great upbeat music during cocktail hour for the guests to enjoy. The guests made their way around enjoying the beverages and hors d’oeuvres. During dinner I played Pitbull, Maroone 5, and Flo Rida type music. Towards the end of dinner there was a special performance, a fire dancer came out to entertain the guests.I played “Ojos Asi” by Shakira during this performance. Then after that the band played a set with a mixture of Disco and Latin music. After the band was done, I cranked up the hottest hits starting with “Don’t Stop The Party” by Pitbull. Keeping the guests dancing, playing requests “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen and “I Cry” by Flo Rida. DJ Frankie spinning until the end playing the last song “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” by Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes.
As The Music Faded DJ Frankie from Eddie B. and Company announced that he hopes everyone had a great time tonight and have a safe and goodnight.
