Joseph and Taylor's wedding was held aboard the Catalina Yacht in Ft. Lauderdale on July 14th. Many of their family members took a charter bus from Georgia to watch the two get married on the top-deck just before sunset. I started things off with a mix of alternative pop hits while guests were boarding. Taylor walked down the aisle and celebrated their marriage with her husband to A Thousand Years by The Piano Guys. After the ceremony was over I switched it over to some rock and country favorites, with some requests from the guests for the cocktail hour. After some pictures it was time to introduce the newlyweds. I pumped up the guests as I introduced the parents of the newlyweds along with the enthusiastic bridal party to I Gotta Feeling by Black Eyed Peas. The guests were encouraged to get really loud as I welcomed the new Mr. and Mrs. Remes as they walked in to Let’s Get It Started by Black Eyed Peas. The cheering continued as I invited them to the middle of the floor for their first dance. Joseph and Taylor embraced each other as I played From the Ground Up by Dan and Shae. Taylor’s father was invited soon after to join his daughter in their first dance to Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle followed by Joseph’s and his mother Cheryl to My Wish by Rascal Flatts. After the first dances, champagne glasses were distributed among the guests as Taylor’s sister gave a nice heartfelt speech. Once the toast was done I invited the guests up for dinner while I played some smooth jazz. After dinner, we continued the party on the mid-deck while I played a mix of music from the 60s to the 80s for all the guests to enjoy. I closed everything out to I’ve Had The Time of My Life by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes as we all sang along before ending the evening. Congratulations to Joseph and Taylor Remes. I had a blast with you and your awesome family. DJ ELOW
