Brittney and Chris Dart celebrated their wedding in grand fashion at the Grand Oaks C.C. in Davie FL on 10/26/2013. This amazing wedding began with a beautiful outdoor ceremony by the golf course. Approximately 125 friends and family members witnessed the ceremony as the sun was setting that Saturday late afternoon. The cocktail hour also took place outdoors on the veranda outside of the main ballroom. I played a mix of tropical tunes while everyone enjoyed drinks and appetizers. The main ballroom was decorated with 22 lavender colored LED wireless up-lights and dance floor lights which were provided by Eddie B & Company. As the guests entered the ballroom after cocktail hour, I lined up the 25 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Brittney and Chris chose Hey Ya by Outkast for the bridal party entrance and the FSU War Chant for their entrance. PRICELESS!! The first dance was to A Thousand Years by Christina Perri and the bridal party joined in half way through the song. Then things hot very interesting. Brittney and her dad Joe performed a choreographed father/daughter dance that began with My Little Girl by Tim McGraw then the song mixed into Gangnam Style, the Douggie and a few other group dances. The crowd went wild when they finished the dance and that was by far the best highlight of the evening. Chris then danced with his mom to Landslide by Fleetwood Mac and Brittney danced with her step-dad John to My Wish by Rascal Flatts. Merry (maid of honor), Matt (bestman) and Brittney's dad Joe gave the very funny toasts. The prayer before the meal was given by Papa Mooc (Brittney's grandfather) then the first of a 3 course meal was served. What a way to start a reception!! Brittney and Chris did provide me with a short play list but asked me to do my thing since they had already read some of the great reviews on the Wedding Wire. I played a mix of top 40, country, 80's rock, 90's rap, oldies and disco. This was one of the many high energy/dancing wedding that I have performed in and it was so gratifying to see that dance floor packed for the entire evening. There was one special request from Brittney's dad's side of the family, they wanted to hear the LSU fight song since most of them are from Louisiana. The cake cutting and the garter/bouquet toss were performed and Papa Mooc and Grandma Belle won the anniversary dance. The last song for the evening was Marry You by Bruno Mars then everyone gathered at the entrance to the clubhouse with sparklers to give Brittney and Chris an amazing send off. Congrats to Brittney, Chris and the entire Dart, Burke and Mastrianni families. Special thanks to Brittney's mom Phylis for making me feel like I was part of the family. You guys are AMAZING!!! Another special thanks to the staff at Grand Oaks C.C. for their attention to detail and for making the bride always smile.
