Wedding and Reception Aboard the Catalina Yacht
On Saturday March 7th, aboard the Catalina Yacht of the Sun Dream Yacht charters in Fort Lauderdale, I had the honor to play for a great couple on their wedding day, Allen and Kara. While the guests were coming aboard, I played instrumental hits of the year. As the guests made their way to the upper deck, the crew had appetizers and open bar was ready. The wedding party walked down to Somewhere over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole. Kara walked down to “I Get to Love You by Ruell”, and the recessional was “Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder. As the guests stayed on the upper deck to enjoy their cocktail hour, the newlyweds were having pictures taken and joined their guests afterwards. The bridal party was introduced to “Good as Hell” by Lizzo. Allen and Kara were introduced to “Sugar” by Maroon 5. Their first dance as husband and wife was to “What Are Words” by Chris Medina. The buffet stations were presented in the dining room area. After dinner, the bride and groom cut their cake, the bouquet was tossed, and the party began. The party started on the lower deck with classic rock, 90’s hip hop, and pop. The party later on made it to the upper deck as they danced the night away under the moon and the starts until we docked. I wish the bride and groom happiness and success for the rest of their years. I would like to thank a great job to the whole crew aboard the Catalina.
