Saturday evening October 7th aboard the Catalina Yacht with DJ Marc Evans is where the wedding celebration for David and Julia Girard was held as we sailed the Ft. Lauderdale waterways. The ceremony was dockside as the bridal party walked down the aisle to 1,000 years by the Piano Guys. Then Julia walked down the aisle to the traditional Here Comes the Bride. When the ceremony concluded, David and Julia walked back down the aisle to cheers and the blowing of the boat horn to The Best Days of Or Lives. Cocktail hour was on the upper deck as I played upbeat music as the family and friends were young and they looked like a party crowd.
I invited all of the guests downstairs to the main deck (dining room) for introductions. I lined up the bridal party and introduced them to 24K and then David and Julia to Marry You by Bruno Mars.. The first dance for David and Julia was to In Case yYu Don't Know by Brett Young. Family and friends joined in, and then Julia danced with her mother to Carrie Underwood's, Mama's Song. David danced with his mom to Do I Make You Proud By Taylor Hicks and then with his Aunt to Through the Years. The guests found their seats and the toasts and prayers were completed as the food stations were opened.
Once dinner concluded, the cake cutting ceremony took place to It's Your Love by Tim McGraw and then the party began as the guests danced to all genres especially the line dances. The Cupid Shuffle, The Cha Cha slide, Cotton Eyed Joe and even the Wobble. They loved the sing a longs, booty songs and hip hop.
The garter and bouquet were very eventful as the groom took the garter off with his teeth to Strip it by Luke Bryan and found a bottle of Smirnoff Ice under Julia's dress and drank the whole thing...Then the garter and bouquet were tossed to Single Ladies and Hot In Here. The party was going and the dance floor was packed as we docked. The final songs were sing a longs to Don't Stop Believing and Friends in Low Places. David and Julia could not thank me, DJ Marc Evans enough for celebrating and making their wedding the best as it could be...Off to Punta Cana!!!
