Good day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg with this week's installment of the Wedding Blog. On Saturday, I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Stan and Debi.
The wedding and reception was held on the luxurious Catalina Yacht.
The guests gathered on the top deck for the ceremony. I played "Have I Told You Lately" by Rod Stweart for the wedding party to enter.
After that Debi entered with "Heaven" by Bryan Adams. The ceremony was very sincere and thoughtful. Afterwards, I played "At Last" by Etta James.
Cocktail hour commenced after that. iIwas asked to play some cool tunes, so I played some South Beach style music as well as some Jazz.
The dining room opened and I invited all of the guests down for the grand entrance. After everyone took their seats, I invited the bridal party to enter.
I played" Can't Stop This Feeling" by J.T.. Then Stan and Debi entered. The crowd erupted with cheers and applause.
I played their first dance after that..."Forever and Ever, Amen" by Randy Travis. Then I asked the maid of honor, April and Best Man Jimmy to say a few words over the champagne..
Now dinner is served!
I kept the tunes fairly light, continuing on the requests of the bride and groom.
After dinner, I invited all of the guests up for a slow song and then we got the party started! This was a very fun crowd. They loved to dance, and being that we were on a boat, they were able to dance on multiple levels indoors or outdoors... The cake cutting went off with no issues (or mess). I then had Debi throw the bouquet. After that we continued to play party music until the end of the cruise.
It was really great ending to a fun evening!
